Project summary:

The overall objective of the project is to develop the digital competences of young people about to choose a career in accordance with the needs of the small workforce, as well as to promote vocational training and expand career guidance methods with new technologies. The project focuses on IT professions, as the spread of technological innovations in the digitalized world at the speed of light not only increases expectations for employees, but also creates new positions that did not exist a few years ago. In addition to programmers and software developers, system administrators have also appeared by now, professions such as data miner, process automation manager or cybersecurity specialist.

Although the target group of the project has grown up with digital tools, several studies show that their digital competences are low and mostly limited to device use. In addition to developing digital competences, the project aims to increase young people's adaptability to a rapidly changing world, stimulate their interest in new professions and methods, and encourage them to be open and flexible.

The main activities of the project:

  • identification of shortage professions in the IT sector,
  • compilation of career guidance and further training materials and content based on VR (virtual reality), AR (augmented reality) and other innovative technologies applicable on both sides of the border,
  • organization of workshops and career guidance sessions,
  • active involvement of parents in the guidance process,
  • actively involving parents in the guidance process,
  • application and further development of new technologies (applications, gamification, VR) to develop digital capabilities,
  • extension of the existing digital knowledge base and cross-border knowledge base and network
