Messages
The aim of the Messages project is to develop pilgrimage tourism in the Slovenian-Hungarian border region.
During the project, pilgrimage sites on both sides of the county and Slovenian border will be surveyed, along with information on existing pilgrimage routes and their quality, to obtain a comprehensive picture of the current situation of pilgrimage tourism.
Through the messages formulated during the processing of the tragic life stories of Father Boldog Brenner János and Chaplain Halász Dániel, an experiential, immersive new tourism product and pilgrimage route will be created and presented to pilgrims.
We also aim to introduce the cultural and intellectual heritage of these two individuals to younger generations through playful competitions, summer camps, traveling exhibitions, and cross-border drawing competitions.
The results achieved during the project will be continuously published through our electronic channels. The findings of the situation analysis will be presented at a conference, and interested parties will also be informed through electronic informational and awareness-raising publications.
We hope that through the Messages project, more people will come to know and understand the exemplary lives of these two historical figures significant to the region's inhabitants. The conveyed "messages" will contribute to revitalizing pilgrimage tourism in the border region and strengthening community cohesion.
